'Elements' was composed for my 'Independent Research Project' (more commonly known as a dissertation) at university.
My research question was "How can music be used as a form of representation and symbolism?"

This conceptual five-piece suite explores the question by dedicating each piece to one of the classical elements, taking inspiration from how they are depicted in Japanese philosophy.
Each piece is intended to be symbolic of the element it is dedicated to, without being too literal.
Please see the individual tracks for brief explanations.

This EP is my second ambient music project.
